1) Try to put as much detail in your IC posts as possible... one liners are still acceptable, if frowned upon, as long as you make sure the person your RPing with has SOMETHING THEY CAN ACTUALLY WORK WITH. Seriously, it's stupid for one person to put some effort into making a decent post, when the next person is just going to say ' Bob nodded'. Common sense really but I've seen it happen...
And if you only like Roleplaying with someone that has the same high-level of writing as you, just Rp with those people... this is a free board, pick and choose who you want to make a plot with!
2) Treat all other members and staff with the amount of courtesy and respect they deserve
3) As this is a 16+ RPG...Swearing is permitted, as well as other acts of a adult nature- e.g drugs and weapon violence etc... but that doesn't mean you can say the 'f' word 5 times in every sentence while going on a killing spree snorting a kilo of coke every 2 seconds. Common sense guys...
If anything gets too out of hand and you think alot of... *cough* naughty words are going to be used, just label your thread with a fat 'M' for mature or whack an 'R' in there!
4)NO GOD MODDING. Heres a definition for those that don't know what it means:
(From UrbanDictionary.com)
"God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. And example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try.
-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission.
-It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them.
-It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as
Legolas, then you cannot have Legolas say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.
The absolute worst is when they make out another character to be what they’re not, just to make their own character seem superior. They make others seem weak, screaming for help, when they’ve made it quite clear about their advantages and strengths. This is called power-play. It’s a strain of God-Modding, but instead of just being irritating, it’s offensive to boot.
This is a prime example of God Modding:
Player A: Punches Player B
Player B: Dodges attack, grabs Player A and throws him. Player A flies at Player B, who warps behind him and slashes Player A in the back
4) When posting In Character you must use correct grammar... that means N0 tXt L4n9ua93 or anything other than plain, english. And if you think you lack good spelling, just use the spell check function, its there for a reason
(( These are gonna' change cause they suck right now, just trying to pull some stuff together))
