Diego was pretty much silent on the way to the station, and he kept his eyes closed most of the time, opening them when he realized he was in the middle of the headquarters for the kind of people he disliked most.... cops. But it was alright... he hadn't done anything wrong, just found half a man in a field and reported it... he'd helped for once.
Diego watched as the Sheriff conversed with one or two of his fellow officers, staying quiet as they took his car away along with the dead guy. From there, Nate lead the way to the bar, the soothing smell of tobacco and ale flooding his senses as they got closer and closer to its entrance.
"If this town has good beer... I might think about staying a little longer..." He chuckled to himself, stopping just before going inside. The sheriffs mind seemed to be elsewhere... like it had been when he first answer the door. Diego wasn't going to inquire just yet... he hoped a few beers would loosen him up a bit first... and so without saying anything more, he stepped inside rubbing his hands together "So whats your poison, hombre? On me"

The Sheriff let out his first content 'ah' for the night, momentarily forgetting about the past situation.
"I don't think there's much choice..." He said notioning towards the bar. A few kegs, simply marked 'Beer' sat behind the counter, and a few marked 'whiskey' above them. "I think Jackson has a bigger choice downstairs, he don't sell that much though." The Sheriff added with a chuckle. "I guess it'll be beer, huh?"

Diego shrugged his shoulders, not entirely bothered about what he had to drink, he just needed something to qench his thirst "As long as it's wet, cold and isn't a bodily fluid of some kind..." he begun, pausing as he inspected the obvious locals of the bar "... then I don't mind drinking it".
He approached the bar, parking himself atop an empty stool, gesturing to the one next to him before glancing around for the tender noticing that the man the other side of him smelt a little like stale sweat and cigars. Nodding in greeting to the barman, he asked for 'two cold ones' and slid a crumpled note across to him "Keep the change, or put it in a charity box or whatever..." he said, his eyes then trailing off down the rest of the bar as he waited.

Nate sat down on the swivel stools at the bar, just as Bartender Jackson pushed two large glasses of beer onto the counter, and silently took the money back to the till.
Condensation began to bead down the side of each glass.
Nate didn't plan on bringing the mood back down, but he had more questions;
"The body; did you find it, in an awkward position? Or lying flat? Were there...Eh, I dunno, say burn marks on the ground?" He asked lowering his tone again.

Diego nodded in thanks to Jackson, a large hand gripping the cold glass, lifting it to his lips, letting out a satisfied 'aah' once he had drunken a sufficient amount. Placing it back upon the bars surface, he turned to look at the Sheriff, thought showing upon his face. "It was... lying flat, on its back, eyelids down... like, like a body in a morgue, just... lying there" he explained, taking a swig of his beer every now and then "... and the wheat around it, blown outwards it was, circular, like a ring of flattened crops surrounding it... it hadn't just been dumped there sheriff, no no, it was placed". As he finnished his speech, his eyes stayed on the sheriff, concern brewing within them, only broken to turn and pick up his glass once more. After that, he stayed silent...

The Sheriff had been hoping...Hoping all the way here, Hoping to God that this body would have ended up being part of a sick killing...
The description only confirmed what everyone was saying. It must be...It just had to be something Paranomal. In a way he was excited. A morbid excitment, some other element in the story of man-kind. Excited but damn was he scared.
Nate realised how long he'd been silent, and took a deep gulp of the cold beer. It ran through his dry mouth and down his gullet. It was a damn cold, but alot better than the cold fear that was beginning to grip him.
"Alright..." He stuttered, then leaned towards Diego and lowered his tone to almost a whisper. "Alright, lets just assume...assume this was a paranormal event...Aliens or whatever..." The Sheriff was more blurting his thoughts, unaware now that this thought probably hadn't crossed this mans mind. "Look, we've got to keep this to ourselves...I'd like to know what happened, let's...let's not tell anybody, just let the other guys, the - the forensics find out what caused this, but don't take it to the 'Feds...We don't want the town going crazy of fear...Hell, that's the last thing we want." He blurted, stammering at points.
Dayes took another deep swig of his beer.

Diego chuckled as he listened to the sheriffs words... from when he had first saw him, he seemed a man-on-edge... now, now he just seemed out of his mind. Aliens? Heh, yeah right. "Sheriff... I think you've been watching too much T.V, or the heat has got to you... Aliens? Your telling me a bunch of little green guys with big head... erm... Flew down? In a space ship? Took a random individual... where they proceeded to mutilate it, before placing it in the middle of a wheat field..." He chuckled, in between taking swigs of his beer "...heh, this 'big secret' is safe with me, sheriff... I don't want people thinking I'm out of my mind.."

The Sheriff could see his point. He took a deep breath and bit his lip while looking down at the bar.
He hastily grabbed up his pint and almost finished it off, "I see where you're-" He stopped; someone burst in through the door.
"Sheriff! There's somethin' in the sky!" No sooner had the old guy shouted, but everyone clambered towards the door, apart from the skeptics at the bar.
The Sheriff raised an eyebrow at Diego...The irony.

The bar fell silent for a while, everyones eyes seeming to be fixated with the unidentified object in the sky, its various lights blinking against the deep dark sky. Diego stuttered "Er... must just be a... a helicopter or plane or somethin'" He muttered, swigging nervously at his beer, draining the remaining liquid in large gulps.
"Its, Its going down! various voices proclaimed, mixed in with a few gasps of shock. Diego sighed and got up from his stool, weaving and pushing his way through the small crowd that had packed themselves just in and outside of the door. Looking towards the sky, his heart slammed in his throat, the arrangment of lights... spiralling down in the distance, towards the forest...

The Sheriff knew he had to do something.
"Alright..." He started, hardly heared above the hubbub of the drinkers. "Alright! Step back, let me pass!" He shouted, and the crowd parted. The amount of respect Nate had over this community was amazing.
Dayes found it odd that he wasn't unsteady anymore, now he was set. He was like the leader of the community, he had to try and be more like a leader.
"Lets go..." Nate said to Diego, and they headed for his car.

Diego contemplated on just staying in the bar, drinking, forgetting about what he had saw... but curiousity caused him to follow nate, to get in the car, and to allow himself be drove away from the drinking house.... towards the forest where the mysterious flying object had gone down...
