The John Doe had already been moved here, and now, Sheriff Dayes was only going to check on the details.
He pushed open the metal double doors and walked into the icy building. It had to be kept cold for obvious reasons.
Quite frankly, the morgue was creeped the shit out of him. The lack of windows did it. It was like being underground or something.
He found himself facing a serious looking man, in a black suit and white shirt. The man looked rediculous, trying to look the part, but to the point of wearing black glasses indoors.
The Sheriff hated the FBI. They always had this higher-authority about them, but even though they did, Nate always saw himself as the sort of Law Leader of the town. He knew everyone, he knew the ins and outs of the town, then some guy in a suit comes to town and thinks he owns the place.
Replace 'Some Guy' with Jane Summers and the situation was more realistic.
The agent didn't speak. He let his head follow the Sheriff as he walked past him, then upto the mesh covered window, with Sarah O'Reilly sitting the other side.
Sarah was a very attractive woman, she didn't seem to realise it, never wearing make-up, and shying away from most social places, maybe it was her line of work. At the age of 32 she was of prime age, and possessed the most magnificent figure. Her skin was blemishless, and her eyes were always bright.
Nate gave her a smile, and she handed over the report.
"Here you go, Sheriff. It's a strange one." She said with a quizical expression.
"Thanks, Sarah. I've got a feeling that this might get alot stranger. I have another body for you at the station..." Nate said, then headed away from the building.
He didn't realized until he got back into the blistering heat - On the way out he didn't pass the FBI agent. He didn't even see him...
